DIFFICULTY

Easy

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup milk of choice (oat milk for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • Pinch of black pepper (crucial, boosts turmeric absorption)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • Optional: ½ tsp coconut oil or ghee

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Warm the milk. Pour milk into a small saucepan over medium-low heat until it just begins to steam.
  2. Add the spices. Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and coconut oil if using until fully combined.
  3. Heat and whisk. Continue whisking for 3 to 5 minutes until the latte is warm, smooth, and golden. Do not let it boil.
  4. Sweeten to taste. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup.
  5. Serve. Pour into your favorite mug and dust with a pinch of cinnamon on top.

💚 Why It's Good For You

  • Turmeric contains curcumin, one of the most studied anti-inflammatory compounds in nature
  • Black pepper is non-negotiable here; it increases curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%
  • Ginger supports digestion, reduces nausea, and adds its own anti-inflammatory benefits
  • Completely caffeine-free, a calming alternative to coffee any time of day

💡 Tips & Swaps

Make it ahead: Mix the dry spices into a small jar and use a teaspoon per cup for a quick latte anytime.

Sweeter version: Add an extra drizzle of honey or a pinch of cardamom for a chai-like flavor.

Richer texture: Use full-fat coconut milk for a thicker, creamier latte.
